Simon Rae-Scott
Simon Rae-Scott is managing director of ConnectWorks Limited which specialises in arts and information publishing. He has a background in teaching, professional photography, video, digital image handling and consultancy. His particular role is to bring new media technology solutions to bear upon the presentation of the arts and public sector information for clients and the communities of interest they support.
The fine art projects have been for groups of artists both in Europe and the USA and the information projects have been for UK public sector clients at both national and local government level. The range of the work includes online galleries, specialist extranets, internet access to applications and most recently the development of online evaluation and survey tools.
Simon's expertise includes:
- matching client needs to appropriate technical solutions
- specifying, implementing and managing projects
- understanding of public sector funding processes
- familiarity with web and database standards and languages
- knowledge of digital imaging handling and archiving
- experience of lecturing, teaching and tutoring
- research, analysis and report writing
While the development work on the online evaluation tool was undertaken by ConnectWorks, the concept is licensed from the Rae-Scott Montgomery Partnership, established by Simon Rae-Scott and David Montgomery in 2003 to promote this and associated ideas. Beside ConnectWorks and the partnership, Simon Rae-Scott is also an associate consultant of HZ Management and Training Consultancy, the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals and Information Management Associates.
